Ginuwine Biography
American R&B singer Elgin Baylor Lumpkin was born on October 15, 1975 and he is best known as Ginuwine among his fans. He was born in Washington, D.C. and he completed his studies from Forestville High School and Prince George’s Community College. After completing his education he began his music career. In 2000 he suffered great loss and within a year his parents died. His father died in an accidents and mother died of cancer.
After the death of his mother he tried to commit suicide several times. In 1990s he signed a contract with Epic Records and released several gold and platinum certified albums and singles. During the 1990s he was one of the most popular and top artists. Ginuwine married Solé and the couple has two children together and his wife has a daughter from her previous relationship. In 1996 his first single “Pony” hit the music world and he gained so much fame in a short span of time. His single also became a part of film Wild Hogs and not only this again in 2008 the same single was used in Grand Theft Auto IV video game. In 1999 Ginuwine released his second album 100% Ginuwine and it’s also proved a big hit.
