Dave Batista Biography

Dave Batista, also known as Leviathan, was born as David Michael Bautista on the 18th of January 1969 in Washington DC. He is a very famous ex American Heavy Weight Wrestler. He stayed in the sport from 2002 to 2010. He retired on the 24th of May, 2010.

During his active period in wrestling, he won two World Wrestling Entertainment Championships along with four World Heavyweight Championships. Aside from these victories, the former wrestling champ also won three World Wrestling Entertainment Tag Team Championship titles (once with Ray Mysterio and twice with Ric Flair).

Batista AKA the Animal was born to the family of David Michael Bautista and Donna Raye Bautista. His father was Filipino and his mother was Greek. When his parents divorced he was placed under the care of his grandparents who were from Philippines. His grandfather did many low paid jobs to support the family. Batista himself admitted that he belonged to a very poor family. On several occasions he expressed that he had lived a very hard life.

Batista tried to initiate his career as a professional wrestler with a pro wrestling school named WCW Power Plant. But a trainer at the school, Sgt Lee Parker told him that the world of wrestling was not for him. Therefore he moved to World Wrestling Federation where he signed a wrestling contract in the year 2000. He was shifted to the Wild Samoan training centre. After the contract he proved his skills by winning the Ohio Valley Wrestling Heavyweight Championship.
