Canon PowerShot SX30 IS Review

The Cannon PowerShot SX30 is the new super zoom camera which is next to the previous SX20 IS. It has a 35x zoom lens. Also featuring a Hi-UD glass( high index and ultra low dispersion) which means a low weight and high optical performance camera having the ability to correct chromatic aberrations.

It offers 720p HD recording. It also comprises an instant video record button which is located right where the thumb is placed. It has 2.7 inch vari-angle LCD. there are also five different brightness settings available.
No matter how much sunlight is, you will always get a clear picture view. An external flash is available. The zoom works well in sunlight but indoor there is a slight problem of shaky hands appearing too often. Although it is a compact camera but it has a 220k-dot view finder, which you normally sont find in these cameras.

About the insides, It has a 14.1-megapixel CCD sensor, offers an ISO of up to 1600 and has a Canon’s DIGIC 4 processor. Its Af( Auto Focus) feature is the one that will impress you the most. The AF in video mode is a real delight; it works excellently and keeps itself silent.

It also has a Color Swap mode in which you select one color and replace it with another but what you are going to like the most is the ‘Color Accent’ in which you can select any two colors from the frame and the remaining is turned into black and white.

Overall it is an easy to use camera. It offers almost everything which you would like to see in a compact camera.
