Amy Dumas Biography

Amy Dumas is a very famous American wrestler. She is commonly known by her ring name Lita. She is also known as Miss Congeniality or Angelica. At present she is the lead vocalist of the renowned punk rock band The Luchagors. She became hugely popular when she wrestled as a pro wrestler with WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment).

Dumas was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on the 14th of April 1975 as Amy Christine Dumas. She attended Lassiter High School and after schooling she joined the Georgia State University for higher education. Later in 1993 she left the university as she was not interested in gaining any further education. After dropping out of the university she played bass guitar for several rock bands in Washington DC. Later she started to take jodo lessons in order to start wrestling.

Dumas decided to wrestle when she watched a wrestling match of Ray Mysterio in an episode of WCW Nitro (World Championship Wrestling). She started training in Mexico. She joined ECW (Extreme Championship Wrestling) in 1999. After staying with ECW for a short period of time she joined WWF (World Wrestling Federation). At first she partnered with Essa Rios. Then she joined Team Extreme along with the Hardy Boys (Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy). She also had a relationship with Matt Hardy. But in 2005 she started an affair with Edge after breaking up with Matt.

Dumas has won four World Wrestling Entertainment (formerly known as World Wrestling Federation) championships. She enjoys the reputation of being the most famous Diva of the sport.
